November 29, 1930 – April 16, 2025
Elnora R. Landwehr, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Colby Senior Care.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids, where the visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Rev. Philip Wilde will officiate. The service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will be in the church cemetery and granddaughters will serve as pallbearers. Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Elnora was born on November 29, 1930, in the Town of Wien, and attended Wescott School in the Town of Eau Pleine, both in Marathon County. She was united in marriage to Raymond A. Landwehr on October 15, 1949, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids. Ray passed away on August 25, 2015.
Elnora was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She and her husband farmed in rural Stratford for 66 years. She liked sewing, crocheting, gardening, cooking and camping. The Landwehr's went camping with their motorhome every chance they could and belonged to the Travel America Campgrounds. They traveled to most of the states and Alaska. She loved her animals and spending time with grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Judy (Roger) Empey of Abbotsford, Janet (Tom) Kniess of Spencer, Randall Landwehr of Buffalo Valley, TN, Ronald (Susan) Landwehr of Pittsville, and Jane Karl of Marshfield. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Lorraine Weiland.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Matilda Weiland, her husband Ray, son-in-law Paul Karl, and Hugo and Eleanor Weiland, Emil and Marie Weiland, William and Leona Weiland, Mary and Elmer Borchardt, Viola and Edward Wenzel, Edgar and Lillian Weiland, Ernest and Rosemary Weiland, Esther and William Lee, Herbert and Arlene Weiland, Edwin Weiland, and Deloris and Keith Krenz.

Memorials may be designated to Imago Dei Academy, Ladysmith, a Christian school started by her grandchildren.
