Elmer Berry, 79, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Entombment will be in McMillan Memorials Gardens Cemetery. Elmer was born on October 8, 1941 in Roth, Virginia, to James and Melvina (Newson) Berry. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from September 17, 1959 until his honorable discharge on September 5, 1962. He married Carol J. Smith on June 8, 1961 in Heidelberg, Germany. Elmer was employed at Felker Brothers Manufacturing in Marshfield, until his retirement in 2005. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and later being outdoors and mowing his lawn. He is survived by his wife, Carol and their children, Marie (Todd) Cattanach of Chili, Ellen Berry and Dean Berry, both of Marshfield. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Shanna Berry and a great grandson, Aaron Wiesner. He is further survived by a sister Thelma Grampre. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Edward, a sister and brother-in-law Edna (Glen) Owens, a brother and sister-in-law James (Edith) Berry and a brother-in-law Glenn Grampre.
