Ellen C. Ehrike, 88 of Stratford, died on Thursday, October 06, 2011 at Ministry St. Josephs Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be 11am Monday, October 10, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford with Rev. Sue Eidahl officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in the Village of Stratford with family members serving as pallbearers. Visitations will be from 9am Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford until time of the services. Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford is assisting the family with the arrang ements. Ellen was born on August 9, 1923 in Medford to William and Corrie (Helwig) Mueller. She graduated from Medford High School and Milwaukee Beauty School. She was united in marriage to Gordon W. Ehrike June 10, 1948 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in the town of McMillan. After her education, she owned and operated a beauty salon in Stratford from 1942 until she retired in 2005. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and served on the board and taught Sunday school. Ellen is survived by her loving husband Gordon, children Barb (Randy) Laessig of Marshfield, Nancy (Jerry) Frodl and Dave (Pam) Ehrike both of Stratford; 5 grandchildren, Connie (Erik) Jennings, Cale (Stefane) Laessing, Micah Ehrike, Krishna Ehrike and Alanna Ehrike; 4 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister-inlaw Ida Matthes of Merrill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Allen in 1966, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
