Obituary

Ella A. Krubsack, 99, Junction City, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota, after a brief illness. She moved from Junction City in 2002 and lived with her granddaughter and family in Lino Lakes, MN for several years before she was cared for at the Golden Living Center in Roseville, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Junction City. A grand-son-in-law, Rev. David Langewisch of Lakewood, CO, will officiate. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery, Milladore and serving as pallbearers will be David Klawikowski, Andy Krubsack, Eric Krubsack, Jon Burkert, Tyler Burkert and Joel Voelker. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Junction City. Martens / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Ella was born on December 31, 1913 in the Town of Sigel, Wood County, to Peter and Anna (Peterson) Oleson. She married Arnold O. Krubsack on June 20, 1938 in Wisconsin Rapids and they were married for almost 60 years. He died on January 8, 1998. Before her marriage, Ella worked at the State Orphanage in Sparta, Wisconsin for several years. After moving to Junction City in 1941 with her husband, she lived out her Christian Faith as an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years, and participated in the Ladies Aid, Altar Committee and bible study groups. She also held memberships in the Royal Neighbors of America and Junction City Senior Citizens and served as a volunteer worker for the Retired Senior Citizens Food Program for 20 years. Besides her church activities, she found much enjoyment in her family and friends and had a special appreciation and love for children and the beauty of flowers, birds and nature. Survivors include 2 daughters, Karen (Howard) Petersen, Lakewood, CO, Sally (Gene) Klawikowski, Rhinelander, a son, Paul (Carol) Krubsack, Rice Lake, 6 grandchildren, Anne (Joel) Voelker, Lynn (David) Langewisch, Kelly (Jon) Burkert, David (Dawn) Klawikowski, Eric (Zwanieke) Krubsack, and Andy (Becky) Krubsack, 7 great granddaughters, 14 great grandsons, and 2 great great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings; 3 brothers, Roy, Clarence and Walter Oleson and 7 sisters, Aurelia Malik, Bernice Hjerstedt, Violet Pike, Eva Herzberg, Mildred Kohnen, Margaret Berg, Delores Greenfield and a granddaughter, Kristen and a great great grandson, Benjamin.
