Elizabeth Agnes "Betty" Mancl Saverda, 75 of Marshfield lost her battle with cancer on the morning of Tuesday July 28, 2015 at her home with Lyle by her side.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 31 at 1:00 pm at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield with Fr. James Logan officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time.
Betty was born May 30, 1940 in Marshfield to Martin and Loraine (Kraus) Mancl. Raised and schooled in Auburndale, she grew up helping her dad on the farm. She married Irwin Saverda May 30, 1958 in Blenker and moved to Marshfield. Betty was a homemaker and raised four beautiful children until they were old enough for her to go to work. Irwin and Betty later divorced.
Betty worked at Automated Products 7 years, then worked at Marshfield Convalescent Center for 7 ½ years. The Saverda's then took over her grandpa's bar, (Louis Kraus) in Rozellville for a while. In the fall of 1971, they bought the Cameron Club where they ran the business for 17 years before selling in 1997. Betty then took over The Time Out in Stratford, and then after 24 years, got out of the bar business. Her last job was with Wiskerchen's Cheese Factory. Betty truly loved all of her jobs.
She is survived by her significant other of 20 years, Lyle Miller. Betty is also survived by her 4 children and their families: Jackie (Chris) Swanson and their children Jon (Kerry) Saverda and Dallas Krueger; Bob (Sue) Saverda and their children Nate Saverda and Alex (Joel) Berens and their child Brentley Berens; Kathy Jo Kollmansberger and her children Kyle, Kasey, and Kelsea Jo; and Karen (Jody) Apfelbeck and their children Sierra Rose and Sydney Jo.
She is further survived by 3 brothers and 6 sisters: Marlene (Jim) Hasenohrl, Joan Heinzen, Charlotte (Ken) Linzmeier, Terry Mancl, Mary Holtman, Emily Weinfurter, Roger (Laurie) Mancl, Gail Keding, and Dan (Carol) Mancl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother in infancy: Paul, and 3 brothers-in-law: Dave, Jack, & Terry.
