Elias James VanMeter Heavens Child We never know when Jesus calls, even though it happens to us all. For those of us that have to stay, we will think of you, love you and miss you every day. Elias James VanMeter, age 22, died in his home at 7830 Apple Road, Pittsville, on Friday, October 3, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hewitt, with Pastor Dean Pingel officiating. Elias was born on April 6, 1992. Elias encountered many health challenges throughout his short life. He persevered and managed a smile. Everyone who cared for Elias loved him and found him to be a blessing. He brought light and love into the hearts and lives of his family. Our deepest gratitude to his dedicated nurse, Claudia Stieve, who loved Elias and worked every day to make his world brighter. Elias is survived by his mother Donna, father Wilson, sister, McKayla, and brother Joshua of Pittsville. He is also survived by his sister, Andrea VanMeter (KC Bills and children, Zachary and Macenzy) of Abbotsford, sister, Megan VanMeter (Mike Hildebrandt) of Nekoosa and sister Casey Carpenter (Shawn Carpenter and children, William and Meeya) of Marshfield.
