Elaine Caroline Meissner, 87, Chili, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville, with Rev. Jordan Scott officiating. Burial will take place in the church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Thursday from 9:30 am until service time at Grace Lutheran Church.
Elaine was born on May 18, 1928 in Neillsville, to Walter and Thelma (Bulgrin) Ott. She was united in marriage to Norman E. Meissner on June 24, 1946.
They began their life together through hard work and love, building a small dairy farm which grew into what is known today as Norm-E-Lane Farm. Elaine spent her years with Norman, the love of her life, raising a loving family, camping, fishing and traveling. Special to her heart were the many winters spent at their vacation home in Brownsville, Texas, surrounded by their second family.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Norman, and their children, Edwin (Sharon), Sandra, Jerrold (Diane), and David (Tammy). She is also survived by grandchildren, Jodi (Don), Jan (Doug), Trisha (Brad), Matthew, Josh (Sheri), Jennifer (Matt), Tiffany (Daniel), Ashley, Jeremy (Lindsay), Amanda (Josh), Zachary, Tyler, Aiden and Travis, and 19 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Thelma June Schmitz and Judy Dahlke and a son-in-law, Eric Dovenbarger.
She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Thelma Ott and children, Melody and Steven, 2 grandsons, Travis and Jeremy, and a sister, Jeanette Hansen.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in her name to Grace Lutheran Church and Childcare Center.
