Edward W. Brock 93 of Stratford died peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the House of The Dove in Marshfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 30, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford with Fr. Sengole Vethamanickam officiating. St. Joseph's Resurrection Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Rozellville with grandchildren as pallbearers. Visitations will be from 9:30am Saturday at the church until time of services. Ed was born on April 21, 1923 in Blenker to Andrew and Albena (Jankovitz) Brock. He was united in marriage to Gladys M. Simolke on August 21, 1945 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford. She sadly passed away on June 21, 2002. They farmed in the Town of Cleveland before retiring. While farming, Ed also operated a trucking business. After their retirement, they enjoyed traveling together, playing cards and taking numerous rides. Ed is survived by his children, Judy (Allen) Sternitzky of Marshfield, Mary (Jerry Sippl) Freimund and Gloria Duerr both of Stratford, Janice (Karl) Nemec of Loyal and Marcella (Leonard) Kieliszewski of Stratford; 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Delores Kelnhofer of Eldorado Hills, CA; two daughters-in-law Jane (Kelly) Barnes of Wausau and Janice Brock of Marshfield; sister-in-law Mary Brock of Marshfield. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sons Roger, Gordon and Thomas in infancy, granddaughter Maria Sternitzky, son-in-law Robert Freimund; two brothers Alfred and Richard in infancy.
