Edward R. Andres, 80 of Marshfield died peacefully on Saturday evening, January 31, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hewitt with Fr. Jesse Burish officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Auburndale. Ryan Kieffer, Kati Andres, Jordyn VanDerLeest, DJ Manlick, Steve Strigel and Russell Anderson will be pallbearers.
Visitations will be from 4:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:30am until service time. There will be a 6:30pm Rosary Service Tuesday at the funeral home with the Knights of Columbus.
Ed was born on August 22, 1934 in the town of Green Valley, Marathon County to Edward and Mary (Fruehbrodt) Andres. He attended St. Andrew's Parochial School in Rozellville.
He was united in marriage to Shirley A. Manlick on June 29, 1954 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburndale. They had celebrated their 6oth wedding anniversary this past June 2014.
Ed retired from the parts department at V & H Automotive in 1999. He drove the shuttle bus at the Marshfield Clinic part time. He enjoyed deer hunting, followed the Packers, Brewers and NASCAR and going to the casino. Ed could fix just about anything. He was a quiet mannered man who worked hard during his life.
Ed is survived by his wife Shirley, children, Linda (fiancée Bruce Teska) Brandt of Mosinee, Jeff Andres of Marshfield, Nancy (Dennis) VanDerLeest of Stratford, Julie Andres of Marshfield and Jason (Sarah) Andres of Marshfield; six grandchildren, Becky Kieffer, Ryan (Marie) Kieffer, Jordyn and Cassidy Van DerLeest, Kati Andres and Ian Grimm. He is further survived by his brother Jerome "Sonny" (Helen) Andres of Rozellville, three sisters-in-law Jeanette Andres of Marshfield, Roseland Andres of Auburndale and Judy (Gene) Strigel of Arpin; and a brother-in-law Jerry (Annette) Manlick of Marshfield.
Besided his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Arthur and Harold Andres; four sisters Marie Marty, Helen Streigel, Martha Kaiser and Eleanor Carolfi.
