Dr. Gerald V. Beyerl, DC, age 95, of Marshfield, our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Gerald was born on January 28, 1927, in Colby, Wisconsin to the late Ambrose and Eva (Frane) Beyerl. He attended Colby schools and Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in California, graduating in 1950. He returned to Marshfield in that same year to join Dr. Martin Jacobs in practice. He went on to practice for over 50 years in Marshfield. He loved what he did and helped many people. He was awarded Chiroractor of the year in 1967.
He married Frances M. "Pat" Worzella on October 2, 1952, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale and they were married for 68 years until she passed away on November 7, 2020.
Dr. Beyerl was very active in professional organizations including WCA and ACA, was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for many years, and was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus John Eisen Council #1799.
Gerry was an intelligent man of many talents and enjoyed gardening. He was a Master Gardener, and his yard was beautiful. He also could cook and build or fix anything. After retirement he and Pat enjoyed traveling. He loved to laugh and joke and tried to set his patients at ease with a good joke and lived his life to make others happy.
Gerry will be deeply missed by his children, Mark Beyerl of Stevens Point, Mary (Eric) Holt of Muskego, and Deb (Jeff) Brunner of West Allis and his six grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Mansavage, Josh (Abby) Beyerl, Ethan Holt, Ryan (Felicia) Holt, Lauren Holt and Katie Brunner, and five great grandchildren, Natalie and Trista Beyerl, Owen and Bennett Mansavage and Zander Holt. He is further survived by sisters, Bernadine Westmoreland and Mae Geiger, sister-in-law, Susan Beyerl and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Pat and siblings, Joseph (Mary) Beyerl, Leon (Eva) Beyerl and Dolores (Martin) Jacobs.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Stoney River Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
