Douglas J. Thomas, age 74, of Marshfield, died Dec. 27, 2020, at his home after a brave health battle. Doug was born January 30, 1946, to Walt and Marge Thomas of Marshfield. He attended Marshfield public schools and owned Thomas Grocery until the late 1960s. He married Jeanie Loertscher on June 19, 1993. He is survived by his wife; sons Brad (Tammy) Thomas of Oshkosh and Bill (Amy) Thomas of Schofield; and daughter Erin Thomas of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Tyler, Samantha, Adam, Hannah and Alisun; and sisters Judy (Jalil) Mirzadegan, Lago Vista, Texas, and Jan Lewis, Houston, Texas. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Gordon, and a son, Michael. His favorite pastime was hunting in the Glidden area with his sons and their friends. There will be a private committal.
