Douglas Hanson, 74, Marshfield, passed away in the presence of family on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Marshfield Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Doug was born in Marshfield on August 16, 1950 to Hanford and Alice (Kuse) Hanson. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1968. On August 9, 1969, he was united in marriage in Hewitt to his dedicated wife, Diane Nowak.
Doug was a man of many interests, careers, and callings. He was, in no particular order, an off road buggy racer, bar owner, welder, award-winning Kirby salesman, Afghan hound handler, artisan carpenter, internet marketer, classic rock aficionado, polarizing TV critic, and a father. His talent in painting, woodworking and home remodeling was unmatched.
He is survived by his wife, Diane, children, Patrick (Audrey) Hanson of Neillsville, Jennifer Bacholl of Neillsville, and Christian (Mariah) Hanson of Sauk City, grandchildren, Lucas (Hannah) Hanson, Emily (John) Brown, Isaac Hanson, Josiah Hanson, Jonathan Hanson, Allie Bacholl, and Ajay Bacholl, great grandson, Daniel Brown, and beloved dog, Maggie.
He is further survived by his mother, Alice, sisters, Candy (Mike) Bell, Penny (Tom) Barry, Karen (Bill) Cook, brother, Mark (Lisa) Hanson, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and many cherished pets.
