Dorothy Ward, 82, Arpin, died on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the home of her son. A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Kandy Kane Park in Arpin. Dorothy was born on November 20, 1934 in Marshfield, to Philip and Elizabeth (McChensey) Snow. She was a graduate of Wisconsin Academy in Columbus, WI. As a young lady, she was employed at Bethel Convalescent Center in Arpin. She was united in marriage to Charles Ward on October 17, 1958 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. He died on November 13, 2008. She and her husband farmed in the Arpin area their entire lives. Dorothy is survived by her children, Patrick (Elaine) Ward of Arpin, Cora Ward of Arpin, Kathy (Thomas) Truhlar of Fort Atkinson, Peggy (Andrew) Huber of Arpin and Peter Ward of Arpin. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Adam Ward, Jessica (Casey) Dennis, Heidi Ward, and Casey, Frank, Luke and Jack Huber and 2 great grandchildren, Ellie and Charlie Dennis. She is further survived by a sister, Patricia (Russell) Hurt of Illinois and Harold (Darlene) Snow of Washington and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
