Dorothy E. Bores, 84 of Marshfield, died on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Golden Living Center Three Oaks in Marshfield. Funeral Services will be 11am Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Rembs Funeral Home with Rev. Trish Turner officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Visitations will be from 4-6pm Tuesday at Rembs Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10am until time of the service. Dorothy was born on August 18, 1927 in the Town of Brighton, Marathon County to Gust and Emma (Melander) Rydberg. She attended Rome Elementary and Unity High School. Dorothy was united in marriage to Ervin C. Bores on August 28, 1948 in Neillsville. Ervin died on April 13, 2001. After their marriage, she worked for General Telephone Company in Marshfield for 30 years. She then worked for the Marshfield School System as a baker for the Jr. High School for 9 years and seasonally for Figis. Dorothy enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, and her grandchildren. Dorothy was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries of Marshfield. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Rosemary) Bores of Marshfield and Jeffery (Mona) Bores of Crestview, FL; four grandchildren, Joey, Scott (Dana), Michael (Ashley), and Shane; and great-grandchildren Christopher, Tyler, Emma, Matthew, Megan, and Allison. She is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Kay Kunkel of CA and Lucille Schrader of Marshfield; three brothers-in-law Robert Bores of Marshfield, Gerald (Arvilla) Bores of Stratford, and Harley Loos of Chili and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and four sisters. Family would like to thank the staff at Three Oaks in the Alzheimers Unit for their loving care.
