Donna M. Kappel, 90, Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at her home under the loving care of her family and Heartland Hospice. Private family services will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Donna was born on January 8, 1931 in Marshfield, to Manley and Marie (Weister) McCulloch. She was a 1948 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. She was united in marriage to Laurence J. Kappel on March 14, 1949 at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Oconomowoc. He died on March 25, 1998. After raising her children, Donna worked as a Unit Clerk at St. Joseph's Hospital Emergency Room for many years. She retired to care for her husband, Laurence. She volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program. Donna was a great cook and always welcomed many to her home. She enjoyed baking holiday cookies and special visits with her great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Linda (Joe Sturla) Hutchinson, Bill (Marlene) Kappel, and David (Dorene) Kappel and a daughter-in-law, Marina Kappel. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Tim (Mary), Ashley (Brent), Christopher (Skarleth), Stacy, and Tammy (John), and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Laurence, a son, Michael, a brother, Manley McCulloch, and sisters, Delores Curtin, Carol Heintz and Gerri Kohlbeck.
