Donald L. Peterson, 81, Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at his home. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Don was born on March 3, 1940 in Marshfield to Emery and Marcella (Rottscheit) Peterson. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1957 - 1960 and worked at Modern of Marshfield for 46 years from 1960 – 2006. Don enjoyed fishing, upholstery, and gardening. He is survived by his son, Kelly Peterson of Marshfield, daughter, Merri Peterson Larson of Elgin, IL, and four grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Janice Knutson of Wausau, and brothers, Myron (Linda) Peterson of Marshfield and Bill (Linda) Carey of Marshfield. He was preceded in death by his father, Emery Peterson, mother Marcella (Rottscheit) Carey, stepfather, Vincent Carey, brother, Emery Peterson Jr., and sister Sharon Ott. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bill, Janice, and Myron for helping care for Don.
