Donald R. Paul, age 91, Stratford, passed away on December 23, 2025, at House of the Dove, Marshfield.

Donald Roy Paul was born on November 12, 1934, in the town of Holton, Marathon County to Rudolph and Rose (nee Brunner) Paul. He grew up on the family farm, attended Bruckerville elementary school and graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1953.

After graduation, he was employed at Packing Corp. of America in Colby, WI for eight years. He was also a member of the Army National Guard for ten years with ten months of active duty at Fort Lewis, WA. In 1963 he purchased his farm in the town of Eau Pleine in Marathon County.

On April 20, 1968, he married Dorothy Niehaus at Sacred Heart church in Marshfield, WI. Donnie and Dorothy had three sons: Brian, Scott and Allen. After 35 years he retired from the farm which is now operated by his son, Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and three sons: Brian Paul (Barbara Gueldner) of Denver, CO, Scott Paul (Michelle Paul) of Stratford and Al Paul (Kathy Nelson) of Madison, three grandsons: Tom (Monica), Sidney and Kyler, two great grandchildren: Joshua and Hailey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three older sisters: Verna, Elaine, and Joyce.

He was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of March Rapids for over 60 years.

Donnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, gardening and watching the Packers and Badgers.

Donnie was soft-spoken, kind, generous, hardworking and devoted to his family. He'll be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of March Rapids, rural Stratford, where the visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Rev. Philip Wilde will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield, and serving as pallbearers will be Brian, Scott, Allen, and Tom Paul, LeRoy Redetzke, and Wally Sprotte.
