Donald B. Hollar, 74 of Milladore, died on Friday, October 07, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30am Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore with Rev. Andrzej Panek officiating. Catherine Warnecke along with St. Wenceslaus Senior Choir and grandson Nathan Gebert will provide the music for the service. Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Milladore with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #468 of Milladore. His sons will be pallbearers. Visitations will be from 4-8pm Monday at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City and again on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 am until time of the service. Donald was born on July 25, 1937 in Marshfield to Bartl and Margaret (Kusta) Hollar. He graduated from Auburndale High School and University of Wisconsin Short Course in farming. He went into farming until his marriage to Virginia. He served in the United States Marines and was honorably discharge. After his military service, he was a fuel delivery driver for Schierl Oil and a logger. He loved traveling with his wife and being in the woods making firewood. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was united in marriage to Virginia J. Weyer Gebert on February 7, 1970 at St. Wenceslaus Church for over 40 years. Donald is lovingly survived by his wife Virginia, children, James (Phyllis) Gebert of Rudolph, Lynn (Phillip) Linzmeier of Milladore, William (Deb) Gebert of Arpin, Michael (Mary) Gebert of Mosinee, Robert (Sheri Vanish) Gebert of Fifield, Raymond (Georgia) Gebert of Blenker, Ronald Gebert of Medford and Daniel Hollar of Milladore; 16 granchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, John (Rita) Hollar of Milladore, James (Karen Deranick) Hollar of Wisconsin Rapids, Robert (Sharon) Hollar of Stevens Point, Eugene (Diane) Hollar of Junction City, Tom (Janet) Hollar of Sherry, William (Lynne) Hollar of Junction City, Lucy (Gary Rieth) Hollar of Crandon, Margaret (Mark) Lubecke of Big Bend and Erma (Russ) Ponshock of Milladore.
