Donald J. Hartle, 70 of Halder died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at his home. Mass of Christian of Burial will be 11am Thursday, May 14, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Halder with Fr. James K. Arthur officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Moore, Tom Biechler, Frank Krainz, Bert Pieper, Mike Ziemke and Josh Hartle. Burial will take place at the church cemetery at a later date. Visitations will be on Thursday at the church from 9am until time of services. Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield will be assisting the family with the arrangements. Don was born on March 7, 1945 in Marshfield to Kermit and Marie (Leick) Hartle and grew up in Rozellville. He was a 1963 graduate of Columbus High School and attended Mid State Technical College in the carpenter/millwright program. He served in the Wisconsin National Guards. He was united in marriage to Gail M. Hughes on August 12, 1967 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford. They lived in Marshfield from 1967 until moving to Halder in 1988, living there since. He worked as a carpenter/millwright project manager with Miron Construction before retiring in 2007. Don enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with family. He was a very skilled craftsman and always said if I can imagine it, I can build it. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #1799 of Marshfield, Friends of the Mead Wildlife Association, Halders Lions Club, Wisconsin Sportsman Club and the BEPCO Association. He is survived by his wife Gail, daughters, Tracy (John) Worring and Kristy (Jim) Moore both of Mosinee; grandchildren Haley and Tim Moore, Emily and Zachary Worring. He is further survived by his brother Jerry Hartle of Marshfield. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be designated to the Mead Wildlife Association in memory of Don.
