Donald R. Grewohl, 82 of Marshfield died at the House of the Dove Hospice Home with his loving wife sitting beside him on Thursday June 24, 2015 A Mass of Christian Burial will be10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 1, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Savarimuthu Selvaraj and Deacon Ray Draeger officiating. Military rites conducted at the church after the Mass by the American Legion Post 54. Burial will be at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitations will be Tuesday from 4-7pm at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield, and the next morning an hour prior to service at the church. There will be a Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary Service at 6pm Tuesday. Donnie was born on October 20, 1932 in Marshfield to Emil and Effie (Pleckham) Grewohl. He attended Marshfield Public Schools and then later enlisted in the United States Army. He served in the Army from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1962. After his service he found work at the South Parkway grocery store where he met his future wife Arlene Dinse. They were married January 25, 1964. Together they worked at South Parkway and continued there as Karau's Grocery. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his wife gardening, travelling, and raising their pets. Donald is survived by his wife Arlene, and his three pet companions: Panda, Cookie & Lady Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters in infancy, and an adult sister Elva Wendt.
