Dolores A. Rasmussen, 78 of Marshfield died on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Stoney River Assisted Living Center in Marshfield.
Memorial services will be 11am Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Rembs Funeral Home with Pastor Mark A. Krueger officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield.
Family will receive relatives and friends from 9am Saturday at Rembs until time of services.
Dolores was born on July 23, 1937 in Fond du Lac to Edward and Mary (Thillen) Willis. She was a 1955 graduate of Marshfield High School.
She was united in marriage to Donovan G. Rasmussen on July 13, 1957 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshfield. He passed away on March 8, 1992.
Dolores was employed for 38 years at Wood County Department of Social Services. She retired as the Income Maintenance Supervisor in 1992. Not satisfied to sit at home after retirement, she proceeded to work part time at several local businesses including the Central Wi State Fair, Walgreens, Younkers and the Northway Mall in Marshfield. She also enjoyed caring for her home and family. She was especially well known and loved for her baking skills. In the last two years of her life, her greatest joy was her great grandson Noah.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Rasmussen of Marshfield and Lori Rasmussen of Duluth, MN, granddaughter Kristen(Nickolas) Becker, and great grandson Noah Becker. She is further survived by two sisters, Dolly Gessert of Wisconsin Rapids and Arlene (Kenny) Regner of Marshfield and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Russ Goldbach.
