Dolores C. Leitner, Marshfield, died on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, in the palliative unit at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.
Dolores was born April 5, 1915 in Marshfield to Herman Braem and Viola Scherr. At the death of her mother, she was raised by her grandparents the late Peter and Martha Scherr. She married Louis Alvin Leitner on September 5, 1938 in Marshfield. He died September 20, 1970.
She attended St. John's Parochial School and high school at Notre Dame Convent, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was employed by Figi's Inc. of Marshfield for 32 years as a supervisor.
Dolores was active in cub scouting and formed the first cub scout Indian dancing pack. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. During her lifetime Dolores made many beautiful quilts which she gave away to family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, DeeDee (Robert) Crockett of Stratford; a son, Jerrol (Mary Lou) Leitner of Lake Zurich, IL; one sister, Dorothy (Henry) Hancock of New Richmond, WI., six grandsons, two granddaughters, eleven great grandsons, two great granddaughters and one great-great granddaughter.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith (Mark) Weigel, nine sisters and five brothers.
There will be no public service. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
