Dolores K. Kraus, 83, Stratford, died on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at House of the Dove, Marshfield, with family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 3, 2014 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rozellville with Rev. John Robert Alphonse officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. A celebration of life will follow at Belvedere Supper Club, Highway 97, Marshfield. The visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 9:30 am on Monday until service time at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Dolores was born on August 17, 1931 in Auburndale, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Marti) Draxler. She was a 1949 graduate of Auburndale High School. She was united in marriage to Richard J. Kraus on June 7, 1951 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale. Dolores and her husband, Richard, farmed in the Town of Day for 44 years. Dolores also worked at Belvedere Supper Club, Marshfield for the past 20 years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, the Parish Council of Catholic Women, and an active member of the YMCA Silver Sneakers. Dolores's life was made rich by her love for family. She was blessed with 13 children who gave her 35 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She supported her children in all of their endeavors. She loved music, collecting dolls, playing cards, and visiting with her family. Her greatest love was having a warm, welcoming home for family and friends. She was loved dearly and will be missed very much. She is survived by her husband, Richard, and their children, Richard (Connie) Kraus, Jr. of Stoughton, Kathy (Mark) Schneider of Wausau, Donna (James) Swetz of Panama City, FL, Dolores (Anthony) Reese of Wilmington, NC, Michael (Suzanne) Kraus of Oklahoma City, OK, Gloria (Jeff) Josephson of Marshfield, Charles (Debra) Kraus of Stratford, Alan (Emily) Kraus of Stratford, Elaine (James) Hamblin of Hayward, Patrice (Daniel) Mikelson of Naples, FL, Timothy (Gina) Kraus of Ottumwa, IA, Gregory (Dewina) Kraus of Rochester, MN, and Michelle (Mark) Winemiller of Rochester, MN. She is further survived by 35 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters and brothers, Anita Koenig of Merced, CA, Robert Draxler of Auburndale, Vernon (Rita) Draxler of Elk River, MN, and Marietta Drach of Marshfield. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Draxler, her sisters and brothers, Imelda Passineau, Arnold Draxler, Francis Draxler, Marcella Bretzl, and Joseph Draxler.
