Delores C. Rogers, 95 of Marshfield died on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Bethel Center in Arpin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Monday, May 16, 2016 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville with Fr. Savari Selvaraj and Deacon Ray Draeger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with grandsons as pallbearers.
Visitaitions will be from 10am until time of service at the church on Monday.
Delores was born on January 14, 1921 to Peter and Anna (Schuster) Eberhardy in the town of Marshfield and raised on a farm. She was educated at St. Joseph's Parochial School in Hewitt.
She was united in marriage to Floyd A. Rogers on April 27, 1940 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hewitt. He passed away on April 18, 1991. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April 1990.
Delores did housekeeping in her younger years and then later worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory for 26 years. She and her husband operated the Arpin Bar from 1951-53 and then returned to Marshfield where she continued to work at the shoe factory.
In October of 1965, Delores and her husband purchased and operated Rogers Bar and later built the ballpark. The business was sold in 1992.
She was a member of the PCCW at Corpus Christi, Tavern League, Bethel Council and its dart team. She enjoyed playing sheepshead, bowling and traveling to many states including Hawaii. They also took their Winnebago piggyback (on train) to Mexico for a couple of weeks and trips to the casino.
She made quilts for her children and grandchildren, always being stitched by hand. She also enjoyed embroidering and crocheting, making special gifts. Delores was an excellent sewer and loved to bake the best cinnamon rolls ever.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dorothy (Roger) Martin-Sanger of Marshfield and Alice (Ronald) Stoflet, Sr. of Rudolph; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister, Sister Mary Peter (Marie) Eberhardy, SSND of Elm Grove, brother Lawrence (Lucille) Eberhardy of Marshfield and a daughter-in-law Lorraine Rogers of Marshfield.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son James, son-in-law Donald Martin, four sisters Adelaide Schueller, Blondina Loosen, Lorraine Simon, Theresa Kienast and two brothers Alfred and Adolph "Salty" Eberhardy.
Family would like to thank Bethel Center staff for all the years and great care given to mom. Also to Heartland Hospice Care.
