Deborah Gerlt, 71, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24th, 2024. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Born on April 15, 1953, in Long Beach, California, Debie was the oldest daughter of Marvin and Betty (Valdeva) Gerlt. Throughout her life, she was characterized by her adventurous spirit and inquisitive nature. Debbie's unique sense of humor, including her creative use of language, will be remembered fondly as part of her legacy. Deborah was loud about her opinions. Her passing has left a silence that will be felt by all.

She loved her companion pets and adored all animals. Above all, Deborah treasured her family. She found immense joy in the presence of her daughter and grandchildren and had a special gift for guilting or embarrassing anyone into doing what she wanted. Family gatherings and holiday celebrations held a special place in her heart, where she relished creating memories and strengthening family bonds.

She is survived by her daughter, Cody Gerlt (Rick Stumpner), and grandchildren, Haven, Kaydence, and Duke. Additionally, she leaves behind her brothers, Michael and Perry Gerlt, along with nieces Gwen and Eileen Gerlt, and nephew Aaron Gerlt.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Betty Gerlt, and her son, Colt Lee Gerlt.
