Dawn L. Martens, age 57, was called home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 3, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Visitation will be at Rembs Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Avenue in Marshfield) from 6PM to 8PM on Thursday, October 6th. A Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church (1208 W. 14th Street in Marshfield) with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Andrew Belt will officiate. Burial will be at Hillside Lutheran Cemetery in Marshfield.

Dawn was born on December 12, 1964, to the late Roy Ferkey, Sr. and Donna Ferkey (Homann) and graduated from Nekoosa High School. She attended Mid-State Technical College to pursue a business degree.

Dawn worked many years as a waitress serving others with her beautiful smile. She later worked at Toellner Systems as an office manager and Ascension Medical Group as an appointment coordinator. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed serving as the board of evangelism leader as well as an usher. She also served on many women's ministries, church treasurer, and Sunday school teacher throughout the years at other congregations. She enjoyed camping, riding her scooter, shopping, traveling, cruises, and sharing time with her family.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Jeff; four children, Michael Foley Jr. of Stratford, Andrew Foley of Madison, Britny Foley of Plover, and Austin Spencer of Wisconsin Rapids; her mother, Donna Ferkey of Wisconsin Rapids; two step children, April Martens of Wisconsin Rapids and Tiffany Martens of Marshfield; two grandchildren, Andra and Amelia Foley; one step grandchild, Eliana Martens; five siblings, Roy Ferkey Jr. (Colleen) of Wisconsin Rapids, Dianne Villeneuve of Wisconsin Rapids, Lance (Peggy) Ferkey of Tennessee, Scott Ferkey of Wisconsin Rapids, and Sandra Barse of Wisconsin Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her father Roy Ferkey Sr.

Dawn will truly be missed by all who knew her.
