Obituary

David James Wagner, 49 of Marshfield passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the House of The Dove surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Ministry Home Hospice of Marshfield. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 3, 2011 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hewitt with Fr. Peter Raj officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with honorary pallbearers being his nephews and nieces. Family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am until time of the service on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hewitt. Dave was born on March 3, 1962 in Marshfield to Don and Jeanette (Kienbaum) Wagner. He attended Hewitt, Marshfield Grade School and Marshfield High School. Some of Daves many interests included football, track, softball and pool. He enjoyed riding his moped, listening to music, writing in his journal, painting, watching the Green Bay Packers and playing cards with family. Dave was a very special person. His family has fond memories of his great enthusiasm for life. His imagination delighted everyone. Dave is lovingly survived by his parents, Don and Jeanette of Marshfield, three brothers, Steve (Janalee) Wagner of Cambridge, Dan Wagner of Marshfield and Dennis (Vicki) Wagner of Romeoville, IL; two sisters Karen Wagner of Madison and Ann (Terry) Stargardt of West Fargo, ND. He is further survived by four nieces, Heather Wagner, Brittany (Ross) Olson, Rianna Wagner and Michaela Wagner; three nephews, Gregory Wagner (fiancйe, Allysa), Shay Wagner and Seth Wagner; and one great nephew Caiden Wagner; his favorite aunt, Joyce (Eddie) Szuminski of Marathon and Godfather, Richard (Elaine) Kienbaum of Waupaca and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Allan Wagner, grandparents, Mark and Marie Wagner and Oscar and Anna Kienbaum. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the family. The family would like to thank Ministry Home Care Hospice, House of The Dove and the many doctors and nurses for providing quality care and comfort to Dave during his illness, especially Dr. Manickam and Dr. Bennett. Also, thanks to relatives and friends for their outpouring of love and support. A special thanks to Marc Cross and staff at Cornerstone and CCLS Day Services Staff who helped with Daves care for many years. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
