David H. Leick, 69 of Auburndale died on Monday morning, October 15, 2012 at the emergency room at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30am Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburndale with Fr. Peter Raj officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Kent Leick, Dennis Leick, Jr., Scott Kaiser, Steve Sternitzky, Richard Carolfi and Ronald Hartle serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Wednesday at the Rembs Funeral Home and again on Thursday at the church from 9:30am until service time. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30pm Wednesday at the Rembs Funeral Home. David was born on March 8, 1943 in Rozellville to Harry and Mabel (Kuse) Leick. He attended St. Andrew's Parochial School and was a 1961 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He was united in marriage to Irene M. Benish on August 24, 1968 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore. He started employment at Weyerhaeuser Co. now Marshfield Door Systems on October 18, 1961. Dave received his Journeyman Apprentice & Pipefitters License then retired in September 2009 after 48 years from Marshfield Door Systems. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America Local 1733, St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. Dave enjoyed working on his hobby farm, especially making wood, gardening, mowing lawn and checking his deer cameras. He loved being with family especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to the Black Hills and gambling in Deadwood, South Dakota. Dave is survived by his wife Irene, two children Kevin (Brenda) Leick of Auburndale and Gayle (David) Wisnefske of Butte des Morts; four grandchildren, Katie and Matthew Leick, Ashley and Allison Wisnefske , and his mother Mabel of Stratford. He is further survived by two brothers Dennis (Kathy) Leick of Marshfield and Dan Leick of Stratford, one sister Debra (Mike) Kaiser of Mosinee.
