David "Dave" John Campbell, 64, of Marshfield, WI passed away quietly on Sunday morning July 9, 2023 at Marshfield Hospital. Though Dave struggled his whole life with health related issues, he was a kind and considerate family member and friend.

Dave was born on February 2, 1959 in Tigerton, WI, the second son of Robert Campbell and Janet E. (Onsrud) Campbell. He was a 1977 graduate of Marshfield High School and received a baccalaureate degree in Sociology with a minor in Police Science from the University of Wisconsin Superior. David lived and worked in the Marshfield area his whole life, working in sales and customer service. He was a great lover of music and had an extensive collection of LPs from various artists. Although a very private person, he treasured spending time and having fun with close friends.

Dave was preceded in death by: his father, Robert Campbell (1915-2013), mother Janet E. Campbell (1920-2017), and brother James R. Campbell (1955-1995). Survivors include his Uncle John Onsrud of Edgerton, WI; his Aunt Naomi (Onsrud) Rockwell of Oregon, WI; 17 cousins and special friends, John and Debra Kolano & Family, who "adopted" Dave into their family and provided so much support for him.

A private, family memorial service for Dave will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in the Madison area. An interment service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Marshfield beginning at 11:00 am, Monday, July 17th. Friends and family are welcome.

The family would like to thank the staff at Waterfall Health of Wausau and the Marshfield Hospital for all of their care and support for David's recent health struggles. The family also wholeheartedly thanks long-time friends John & Deb Kolano & family for always "being there" for Dave and his family. They are the definition of true friendship.
