Darlene M. Schiller, 72, formerly of Pittsville, died peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2012 with her family by her side at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 13, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville, with Rev. Thomas Hahn officiating. Burial will take place in St. John's Cemetery in the Town of Hansen and serving as pallbearers will be nephews, Dane Jones, Ed Schiller, Jay Schiller, Dean Schiller, Steve Schiller, and Troy Schiller. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces, Vicky Jones, Candy Nau, Nikki Sauer, and Tonya Weinfurter. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville and on Monday from 10:00 am until service time at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville. Darlene was born on January 7, 1940 in the Town of Richfield, Wood County, to Harold and Mary (Trachte) Schiller. She attended Good Cheer Elementary School. Darlene was employed at Norwood Day Services, the Community Resource Program and lastly at Innovative Services all in Marshfield. She blessed her family with a ceramic angel every Christmas. Since 1994 Darlene resided with her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Glenn, their daughter, Nikki and a special dog, Samboe. She is lovingly survived by three brothers and a sister, Elwood (Hazel) Schiller of Loyal, Russ (Bev) Schiller, Mel (Mary) Schiller, all of Pittsville, and Sharon (Glenn) Brueggeman of Marshfield. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, Dale. A memorial will be established at a later date.
