Danielle "Dani" Dayanara Sternberg, 22, Hewitt, passed away suddenly at her home with her Parents, on December 21, 2021. Her family is shocked and deeply saddened by Dani's loss. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Marshfield where visitation will be from 10:30 am until time of service and after Mass. The Rev. Damian Joseph Redfern will officiate. Burial will be at the Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona, WI on January 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Born not from our flesh but instead born of dreams and prayers; our gift from God was sent. Danielle was born on December 21, 1999 in Guatemala and adopted by Jeffrey and Susan (Datka) Sternberg on April 27, 2000. Dani attended Columbus Catholic schools K-7: involved in fast pitch softball to the position of pitcher based on her hard work at home with her Dad; volleyball; track; band and music (private piano/voice); academics, and the love of Jesus. Dani was granted a miracle during a canoe trip at Adventure Camp: the canoe overturned pinning both her and Kate underwater and as she prayed she felt arms around her lifting her to the surface (this was witnessed by an adult chaperone that said they just popped up from the water). Dani attended Marshfield Schools 8-12 and continued with music, voice, softball, track, and graduated May 2018. Dani started work at age 14-16 Fast Food; 16-19 Retail; and 19-present she worked and loved being a Caregiver for individuals with disabilities, with mental health, and lastly with the elderly. She recently took the first steps to start her college education at MSTC for Personal Training or Digital Marketing. Dani's creativity in art and music came from her Dad while her strong will and sassiness came from her Mom. Dani knew the depths of our love for her as we knew the depth of her love for us. We'll miss the fun times, fights, adventures, laughter, smiles, trips, and most of all her physical presence every day. Now she'll enjoy the peace and love of our Lord. Dani is survived by her parents, Jeff and Sue Sternberg of Hewitt; her paternal grandmother, Sharon Sternberg of Marshfield; Aunts; Uncles; and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dale Sternberg and her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Judith Datka.
