Cora C. Sutton, 94, Marshfield, died on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Rev. Charles Stoetzel will officiate and music will be provided by St. Johns Church Funeral Choir. Burial will take place in St. Michaels Cemetery in Hewitt and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 8:30 am until service time at St. Johns Catholic Church. The family will gather at a later time to celebrate her life. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Cora was born on January 4, 1917 in Marshfield, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Gerl) Weigel and attended St. Michaels Parochial School in Hewitt. She married Harold C. Sutton on December 13, 1941 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Rozellville. Cora enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and loved her pugs (dogs). She is survived by two daughters and four sons, Mary Jane (Sylvester) Weis of Chili, Judith Ann (Ralph) Hederer of Spencer, Ron (Emmy) Sutton of Stratford, Dan (Denise) Sutton of Marshfield, Tom (Denise) Sutton of Stratford and Wayne (Diane) Sutton of Marshfield. She is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a brother, Frank Weigel, II and a sister, Veronica Plath.
