Colleen M. Hoffmann, 78, Marshfield, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Franciscan Healthcare, La Crosse surrounded by her immediate family. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 am until service time. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Colleen was born on December 23, 1934 in Marshfield, the daughter of Rupert and Mabel (Nelson) Mercer and attended school in Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Norman Arndt on August 27, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on November 16, 1984. She later married Donald A. Hoffmann on April 2nd 1991 at Las Vegas, NV and later separated. Colleen had been employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and at Weyerhaeuser Corporation, both in Marshfield. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, WI. She loved gardening, and people appreciated her flowers. She loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Donald, a daughter, Cathleen (Larry) Pupp of Houston, MN, and a son, David (Angela) Arndt of Louisville, Kentucky. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason (Davina) Pupp, Charity (Travis) George, Zachary Pupp, Nick Pupp, Nathan Pupp, Kaitlyn Arndt and Kyle Arndt, great grandchildren, Aiden (Caitlin) Hamilton, Jaden George, Korissa George, Samarra Pupp, Brooklynn Olloff, and Kaleb Gady. She is further survived by a brother, James (Bernice) Mercer of Marshfield, stepchildren, Donna Hildebrandt, Fern Hinke, Dean Hoffman, Mark Hoffman, Paul Hoffman, 9 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Norman Arndt, a daughter, Debra Arndt, brothers, Allen Mercer, Richard Mercer, and sisters, Suzanne and Eva Mercer.
