Clifford L. Anderson, 73, Mosinee, died peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2012 at his home in the Town of Green Valley, Marathon County. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Donald Meuret officiating. Entombment will take place in McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Town of McMillan, Marathon County, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time at Our Lady of Peace Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Clifford was born on May 29, 1938 in Phillips, Wisconsin, the son of Milton and Marion (Ostling) Anderson and was a graduate of Prentice High School. He later received welding certification in Minneapolis. Cliff served in the National Guard Red Arrow Division. He married Patricia L. Novotny on August 14, 1965 in Westboro. Cliff owned and operated Mid-State Contracting, Inc. with shops in Marshfield and Wausau. He enjoyed the outdoors, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, and motorhome traveling. He also enjoyed gardening, making maple syrup, canning, cooking and creating things from wood as well as iron. He is survived by his wife, Pat and their children, Timothy (Renee) Anderson of Hatfield and Tammy (James) Risseeuw of Sheboygan. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Morgan and Sara Risseeuw.He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Larry (Jeannie) Anderson of Colfax, Harold (Judi) Anderson of Marshfield, Jolene Carpenter of Phillips, Delores (Kenneth) Danielson of Prentice, Virginia (Jeff) Heibieson of Hopkins, MN, Carol (William) Takala of Crossville, TN, Shirley (Keith) Gustafson of Brantwood, Betty (Bob) Weinzatl of Prentice, and Marion (William) Carston of Fridley, MN. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Robert. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in Cliff's name to the Marshfield Medical Clinic Development Department.
