Clement J. "Clem" Weis, 93, of Marshfield died Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 at the Marshfield Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, June 9th at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Music will be provided by Cindy Penker and the Resurrection Choir. The family welcomes relatives and friends for a period of visitation at the church from 9am until time of Mass. Burial will follow at St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery in Rozellville. Military Honors will be performed at the cemetery by the Stratford VFW Post 6352.
Clem was born November 22, 1932 on the family farm in the Town of Day to Eugene and Mary (Wilhelm) Weis. He was the 8th of 9 children born to the couple. Clem attended school at St. Andrew’s through the 8th grade, and graduated from Stratford High School 3rd in his class in 1951. He enlisted into the Army in 1954 and served as a company clerk until his honorable discharge in December of 1955.
He was united in marriage to the late former Miss Antonette “Toni” Hebert September 14, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. She sadly passed November 29, 2000. Clem married Marci Sessions a few years later, she recently passed away. Clem and Toni took over his parents dairy farm following their marriage and raised three children on the property before retiring from farming in 1989. Clem was a talented woodworker and cook, his family remembers many barbeques and enjoying his homemade fudge. He had also sold insurance for Catholic Family and was involved with Meals-on-Wheels for over 10 years. Most recently he had been a regular fixture at the senior center where he loved playing sheepshead and smear 6-days a week.
Clem is survived by his children: Chris Feltz of Stratford, Brian (Donna) Weis of Anchorage, AK, and Jeni (Scott) Schoenherr of Marshfield; grandchildren: Megan (Wade Behrens) Feltz and Symone (Craig) Kirsch, and two great-grandchildren: Theo and Forrest Kirsch. Clem is further survived by his dear sister Virginia Johnson of Marshfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Antonette, daughter Mary Rose in infancy, son-in-law Larry Feltz, and his seven older siblings: Sister Mercita Weis, Harold Weis, Norbert Weis, Melvin Weis, Dorothy Hamus, Marie Walter, and Donald Weis.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Wells Nature View on Adams and the Palliative Care Staff at Marshfield Medical for the kindness they've shown Clem.
