Obituary

Clement Simon Fisher, 88, of Marshfield died Thursday, April 23rd at the Wells Nature View on Adams under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

A Memorial Service is being planned. Clem's obituary will be updated.

Clem was born October 18, 1937, at the home of his parents, John and Anna (Whittman) Fisher in the Town of Day in Marathon County. He attended local schools and was a 1956 graduate of Columbus High School. Following school he moved to Milwaukee for work. He was drafted into Army service in 1960 and saw service primarily in Germany until his honorable discharge in 1962 when he returned to Milwaukee and found work as a punch press operator with Briggs & Stratton. He retired about 1992 following 30 years with the company.

Although he was living in Milwaukee, Clem was a regular fixture in the Marshfield area nearly every weekend to tend to his parents. He kept a cabin on the Big Eau Pleine Flowage during this time and took much joy fishing and hunting around the state and often traveled out west to hunt. After he retired, Clem moved back to Marshfield. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and one of the Board of Directors for the Henry Prashak Memorial Society. Clem was handy and always willing to help when asked.

As the sole survivor of his siblings, Clem is survived by his nieces and nephews: Pat (Mary) Fisher, Glenn “Tom” Fisher, Scott Fisher, Kenny Fisher, JeriAnn (Tony) Olivo, John Fisher, Jean (Greg) Kurk, Jim (Betty) Fisher, Joe Fisher, Jeff Fisher, and Susan (Mark) Schroeder. He is also survived by his longtime close friend Richard Weis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Fisher and his siblings: Jerome (Dolly) Fisher, Gerald (Dorothy) Fisher, Annette (Patrick) Pink, and Bernard (Theresa) Fisher; and nephews Dan Fisher and Michael Pink.

Thank you to the staff of Wells Nature View and St. Croix Hospice for the loving care given to Clem.
