Clayton H. Doescher, Jr. 63 of Marshfield died on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the emergency room at Ministry St. Josephs Hospital. Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield with Pastor Jill Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield. Visitations will be from 1pm on Saturday until time of services at the Rembs Funeral Home. Clayton was born on March 6, 1948 in Marshfield to Clayton and Josephine (Budtke) Doescher, Sr. He attended grade school in Chili and in Marshfield and attended vocational school to learn welding. He was united in marriage to Coral Enerson on September 3, 1967 in Chili and together they had two daughters. Clayton worked on the home farm prior to his employment as a welder for Hammerblow, Beck Industries and Bock Industries. He later worked at Monroe Trucking before his final employment at H & H Cranberry marshes in the Nekoosa area. He enjoyed being with his four grandchildren and his beloved cat, Biscuit. He also loved his John Deere garden tractor, camping and was a genius at fixing anything mechanical. Friends relied on his knack for being able to take anything with a motor and make it run. He is survived by his mother and stepfather James and Josephine Mannigel of Marshfield, two daughters, Christine (Daniel) Hanlon of Hudson and Cindy Davies (Randy) of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Samantha and Hanna Hanlon and Evan and Dylan Davies. He is further survived by two brothers Marvin (Diane) Doescher of Chili and Gerald (Louise) Doescher of Merrill; two sisters Marlene (Keith) Kadinger of Osseo, Kathy (Milt) Boyer of Chili and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Douglas and a brother-in-law Gerald Greene.
