Charles A. Gonering, 66, Marshfield, died peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at House of the Dove, Marshfield. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Father Salvi officiating. A nephew, Michael Gonering will be soloist. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am on Tuesday until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Charles was born on July 29, 1947 in Marshfield, the son of Louis and Rose (Haselberger) Gonering and was a 1965 graduate of Columbus High School. He married Sharon K. Leick on August 31, 1968 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Chuck had been employed at Wick Building Systems in Marshfield. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife Sharon, a sister, Patricia Schiller of Waukesha and a sister-in-law, Marlous Gonering. He is further survived by nieces and nephews.
