Obituary

Cecelia E. Haselberger, 100, Marshfield, died peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Stoney River Assisted Living, Marshfield. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 6, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 12:00 pm until service time at St. John's Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Cecelia was born on July 22, 1914 in Auburndale to Joseph and Anna (Pankratz) Kohlbeck. She attended St. Mary's Parochial School, Auburndale. She was united in marriage to Joseph "Snappy" Haselberger on October 9, 1945 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rozellville. He died on November 14, 1964. Cecelia was employed at Roddis Lumber Factory, Marshfield, during World War II as a floor supervisor in the veneer area. She later worked at Johnson Garment Company, Marshfield, and then at St. Joseph's Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, baking, sports, traveling and especially spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Marshfield Area Missionary Society. She is survived by her children, Joyce (Phillip) Waller of Fort Atkinson, Jim (Sandy) Haselberger of Fairbanks, Alaska, and JoAnn Haselberger of Marshfield. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Chris (Debbi) Waller, Mandy Witt, Eric Wolfenbarger, Sabrina Haverfield, and Robert Haverfield and 7 great grandchildren, Natalie and Phillip Waller, Cole Witt, Ander Wolfenbarger, Jillian Hall, Sydney Scott, and Chase Haverfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 8 sisters and 2 brothers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated in her name to St. John's Parish or to Wildwood Zoo Association.
