Carole was born on June 26, 1961 in Lawrence, KS to Gerald and Hilda (Karo) Rasmussen. She attended Marshfield schools, graduating in 1979.
Carole was a loving, caring, kind woman who worked hard and was an amazing mother. She had many jobs, from breeding cows, working on the farm, US Census worker, and starting her own business Majestic Retrievers where she bred and trained golden retrievers, but maybe her most important was mother. Even though she worked a lot, she always made time for and cared for her children, and let them know how much they were loved. She loved to experience life, especially outdoors, and made sure to have fun at the same time. Carole loved to care for her animals (especially Jingles her horse), draw, paint, write, hunt, shop, and even competed in Tae Kwon Do. She would go out of her way to be kind, helpful, and giving to family, friends, and everyone who was lucky enough to meet her.
Carole is lovingly survived by her children: Garrett (Maggie) Pongratz of Kenosha, Crystal (Bruce) Pongratz of Marshfield, and Tanya Folz of Marshfield; 3 grandchildren: Emerson, Carson, and Greta; and her loyal golden Cedar. She is further survived by her siblings: Jackie Mayhue, Beverly (Warren) Whitby, Ron (Linda) Rasmussen, Vera (Wayne) Neumann, and Alan Rasmussen.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carole's memory to the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter, and "Paws for Brittany".
