Carl E. Kasner, 78, Arpin, died with family by his side on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church, Arpin, with Elder Ed Sajdak officiating. Burial will take place in Bethel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell, Darwin, Darrick and Dallas Kasner, Randy Cherney and Art Hurm. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Monday from 10:00 am until service time at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Carl, born on August 2, 1936 in Milwaukee was the son of Emil and Alice (Schlegelmilch) Kasner. The family moved to a farm in the Town of Richfield . He attended school there and graduated in 1954 from Wisconsin Academy in Columbus, Wisconsin. He then attended the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point and Andrew's University in Berrien Springs, MI.
Carl worked for the U.W. Soils Department and Experimental Farm for 36 years. He had worked in Landscaping since 1965. In 1969 he began operation of Carl's Landscape Service, which he operated until 1988 when his son,Darrel assumed operation of the business. He then began Professional Lawn Care which he operated until the present time.
Carl was united in marriage to Barbara K. Rosicky on December 22, 1984 in Nashua, Iowa. They spent winters in Florida since 2003 and enjoyed travelling. He was very active in his church and went on mission work trips to foreign countries.
He is survived by his wife, Barb, and children, Donna (Keith) Anderson of Marshfield, Darrell (Analiza) Kasner of Arpin, Darwin (Carol) Kasner of Arpin, Diane (Arthur) Hurm of Indianapolis, IN, and Darla (Glen) Roby of Wauwatosa. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, Roger (Linda) Kasner of Stratford, and sisters, Joann Ruedinger of Arpin, Sharon (Dave) Pavlacky of Colorado, Violet Seeman of Marshfield, Glenda Joch of Arpin and a sister-in-law, Theda Kasner of Marshfield.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Gerald.
