Brian Lee Rogney, 50, died peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at House of the Dove, Marshfield, after a long battle with cancer.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 24, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale, with Rev. Jesse Burish officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am on Friday until service time at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Brian was born on July 30, 1964 in Marshfield to Clifford and Joyce (Bornbach) Rogney and was a 1982 graduate of Auburndale High School. He was employed at Donaldson and Auburndale High School as a custodian and at Auburndale Recycling Plant until his illness.
Brian enjoyed umpiring softball and baseball and running the softball league. His passion was dancing and singing karaoke. He was involved with Gust Gym boxing.
He is survived by his parents, Clifford "Ollie" and Joyce Rogney, daughters, Paige and Shalee, 3 brothers, James (Donna Hilber) Rogney, Terry (Bonnie) Rogney, Dave (Vicki) Rogney, 3 sisters, Sandy (Gary) Linzmeier, Judy (Ben) Willfahrt and Diane Rogney. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Alan and Dan Rogney, Nick and Aaron Linzmeier, Mike Rogney and Dr. Kristin Rogney, Jodi Rogney, Jamie Rogney, Jared Rogney, David Gruenke, Kyle and Kari Willfahrt, and Tyler and Kaleb Brandt.
He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents and a baby nephew Joseph Brandt.
The family wished to thank the House of the Dove and Aspirus Hospice Care for the wonderful care given to Brian.
