Brian K. Heggelund, age 67, Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at UW Health University Hospital, Madison.

A gathering for family and friends will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the family will celebrate Brian's life and cherished memories. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer, where a visitation time will be from 10:00 am until the service. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes.Rev. Barry Saylor will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.

Brian was born on January 21, 1957, in Marshfield, to Gene A. and Rosemary A. (David) Heggelund, and was a 1975 graduate of Pittsville High School, and a graduate of Mid-State Technical Institute. He married Susan M. Feirer on June 5, 1982, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby.

Brian worked as an exercise assistant at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, for many years.

As a young man, he enjoyed riding motorcycle with family and friends and enjoyed operating machines of all types. He also enjoyed hunting, shooting, traveling, and his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sue, and their daughter, Chelsea Heggelund of Plymouth, MN. He is also survived by his mother, Rosemary and sisters, Carmen (Daniel) Reis of Marshfield, and Rita (Randy) Stelpflug of China, MI, and a brother, Eric (Anne) Heggelund of Ringle, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Gregory Heggelund, and two sisters, Tamara Heggelund and a sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Earl Kohl.

Memorials may be designated in Brian's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or The University of Wisconsin (UW) Organ and Tissue Donation (OTD) program.
