Brian D. Amacher, 49, Marshfield, died peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home. Brian was born on February 24, 1963 in Marshfield to Lloyd and Patricia (Anderson) Amacher. He attended Washington Elementary School and was a 1981 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He was united in marriage to Cheryl A. Hoffmann on September 10, 1983 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. Brian was employed at Carquest Distribution Center in Marshfield for 27 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Badger Aerie #624, of Marshfield. He was an avid and passionate bowler, receiving many awards for bowling. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and especially spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Marshfield, and their daughter, Ashley (Andrew) Thom of Eau Claire. He is also survived by his parents, Lloyd and Pat Amacher of Marshfield, and his siblings, Robert (Jane) Amacher of Wausau, Dawn Amacher and Leeann Amacher, both of Green Bay, and Linda (John) Fisher of Broken Arrow, OK. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many in-laws. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Reding and his staff at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital for their dedication and compassionate care during Brian's illness.
