Brenda A. Burggraf, age 72, Stratford, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Brenda was born on May 20, 1953, in Kansas City, KS, to Calvin Leland and Millie (Strobel) Kretzer. She attended schools in Ottawa, KS, Dodge City, KS, Eads, CO and Lindsborg, KS. She was united in marriage to Paul J. Burggraf on July 8, 1988.

Brenda had been employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Marshfield, and then in housekeeping at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, for 21 years until retiring in 2013.

She enjoyed gardening, creating artificial floral arrangements, fishing, and occasional gambling. She treasured her home where she loved the wildlife and nature.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, a brother, Doug Kretzer and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Kretzer, and in-laws, John (Lois) Burggraf, Rita Schneeweis, Ruth Burggraf, Gloria Stewart, Mike (Jean) Burggraf, Dan Burggraf, Jim (Lily) Burggraf and Gerianne Fox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, David and Ed Kretzer, a sister, Vicki Heter, and brothers-in-law, Tom and Ed Burggraf.
