Beverly Ann Zellner, 88, formerly of Auburndale died peacefully Sunday July 26, 2026 at the Wellington Place in Biron under the care of Interim Hospice while listening to her favorite polka show.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, July 31, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Auburndale. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The family welcomes relatives and friends for a time of visitation from 9am until Mass Friday at the church. The Parish Council of Catholic Women will lead a rosary prayer at 8:45 that morning. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Beverly was born July 30, 1937 in Wauwatosa, WI to Clarence Birzer and Lorraine (Schmidt) Birzer-Jocham. An only child, she attended the Carlton Primary School through the 8th grade, and graduated in 1955 from the old Custer High School on 37th and West Custer in Milwaukee. Later in life she attended Mid-State Technical college and received her associate degree in 1995. She was united in marriage to the late Joseph F. "Pidee" Zellner on July 22, 1957 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Auburndale, eight days shy of her 20th birthday. She was a homemaker and helped on the farm milking the cows until their retirement in 1994. She then became employed at DeBoer Trucking as an office assistant from 1996-2002 when she retired. Beverly enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing accordion, piano, organ, and her keyboard. She also enjoyed listening to her music cd’s and knitting.
Beverly is lovingly survived by her children: Barbara Zellner of Arpin, Dori Hinkelmann of Milwaukee, John (Michele) Zellner of Auburndale, "Joener" Joel (Debbie) Zellner of Marshfield, Melanie (Robert) Mitchell of Humbird, Jeff (Becky) Zellner of Auburndale, Jerome (Tina) Zellner of Stevens Point, Jayne Bloomer of Mosinee, and Jay (Jan Aschebrook) Zellner of Stratford. She is further survived by 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, as well as cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is welcomed home by her husband Joseph, children: Joseph L., Janet, Jerry in infancy, and James Zellner, parents, and stepfather Richard Jocham. She is also reunited with son-in-law Tom Bloomer, three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, one nephew, one great-nephew, and one great-grandson.
The Family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Interim Hospice and Wellington Place for the care given to Beverly.
