Beverly was born August 4, 1920, in Marianna, FL, to Clyde I. and Susie (Crain) Thompson, the youngest of nine children. When she was very young, her family moved to Chicago and then to Wisconsin. She spent her adolescent years in the Oconto Falls area.
She married Earl Mount, then a member of the US Army Air Force, based at Keesler Field in Biloxi, MS. She worked as a civilian for the Air Force at the Post Exchange and transferred to General Headquarters. During WWII, she became a defense worker in a shipyard. After the war, she followed a career in advertising and display for two different department stores. The rest of her working career was in the health care field in various roles, the major part in an administrative capacity.
Upon Beverly's retirement in 1985, a Norwood Newsletter reporter said in his article: "Read Isaiah 61, vs. 1-4." Beverly was deeply moved and never forgot to strive for so worthy a goal, because much of her time was occupied listening to and praying for people of all ages and walks of life.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her eight siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Beverly's name to Wesley United Methodist Church.
