Betty J. Schwebke, 72, Marshfield, died on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2010 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Linden Nelson officiating. Burial will take place in McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Town of McMillan. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time. Betty was born on April 17, 1939 in Stratford to Lloyd and Bonnie (Smith) Laessig and was a 1957 graduate of Stratford High School. She was united in marriage to Wendell W. Schwebke on September 24, 1960 in Belvedere, IL. He died on October 22, 2004. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Brian) Larkee of Merrill and Susan (Justin) Barnes of Denton, Texas, and by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Bonnie Laessig of Stratford, a brother, Randy (Barb) Laessig of Marshfield and a sister, Bonnie Laessig of Rothschild. She was predeceased by her father, her husband and a brother, Kenneth Laessig. In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated to the family.
