Obituary

Betty J. Schultz, 82, Stratford, died on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Ministry St. Josephs Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids. Rev. Douglas Westenberg will officiate and Ellen Syring will be the organist for congregational singing. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Saturday until service time at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Betty was born on October 18, 1928 in Moon, Wisconsin, the daughter of Forrest and Ruth (Witz) Fink. She married Otto H. Schultz on October 27, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford. He died on November 21, 2010. Betty worked as a nursing assistant and also was employed in day care and home care for the elderly. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids, and was a very active member of the ladies aid. She is survived by two daughters and four sons, Susan (David) Schraeder of Gold Canyon, AZ, Nancy (Edward) Kulas of Colby, Charles of Marshfield, Thomas and Peter, both of Stratford, and Philip (Kerri) of Marshfield. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Travis (Junko) Schraeder of Japan, Sarah (David) Cerny of Wausau, Theodore (Emily) Kulas of Colby, and Jacob Schultz and Theresa Schultz of Stratford and by three great grandchildren, Kaio Schraeder and Toma Schraeder of Japan and Chace Cerny of Wausau. She is further survived by four brothers and seven sisters, Thomas (Irene) Fink of the state of Oregon, Rodney (Delores) Fink of Florida, Jesse (Krista) Fink of Junction City, Dick (Trudy) Fink of the state of Washington, Veneda Lube of Florida, Beulah (Jerome) Hahn of Minnesota, Joan (Jim) Wilkins of Schofield, Pat (Jim) Luther of Holmen, Sharon Beulow of Stevens Point, Carol Lutz of Florida, and Sandy (Jack) Mischnick of Texas and by two sisters-in-law, Elaine Fink of Junction City and Eileen Fink of Green Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,two brothers, Orville and Eugene Fink and a brother-in-law, Neil Lube. The family will designate a memorial in Bettys name.
