Betty J. Anderson, 71, Marshfield, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at home with her husband of forty-six years Roy and their three daughters by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday June 26, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 10:00 am until service time.
Betty was born on September 28, 1943 in Beloit, WI daughter of Clarence and Pearl (Shaw) Laube. She was a 1961 graduate of Janesville High School and received an accounting degree from Rockford Business College. She worked for the City of Marshfield Finance Department for 26 years and proudly retired in 2008.
Despite being diagnosed with cancer in June of 2011, Betty managed to keep a busy schedule spending time with her grandkids, traveling and quilting. She was a devoted wife and mother and the quintessential adoring Grandmother who baked, sewed and was always ready with a hug. Betty fought her disease with dignity and grace and an endless well of hope right up to the end. She was an inspiration to all who knew her always ready to share a laugh or smile, and her positive energy could brighten any room.
Betty's practical accountant thinking was well balanced by her adventurous fun loving side. She was always up for trying something new and never let her age or disease stop her from having fun whether it was going down a giant waterslide with grandkids or flying to Florida for some sunshine. If you ever needed a partner to join you for a trip to the casino she could give you a lesson on where and how to make the most money but always knew when it was time to throw in the towel. Known for her unyielding honesty and loyalty she had a generous heart and was a faithful donator to many charities. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Roy and her children Lisa (J.D.) Fratzke of Minneapolis, MN, Tami (David) Ford of Lake Mills, WI, and Sara (Shane) Lauthen of Cottage Grove, MN. She is also survived by five grandchildren (and one on the way), Nina Fratzke, Lauren and James Ford, and Mya and Aria Lauthen. She is further survived by one brother, John (Linda) Laube of Milwaukee, and three sisters, Mary (Bill) Larson of Janesville, Janet Patrick of Madison, and Sherry Laube of Janesville.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
